Hippocampal Cognition
The PTSD theory postulates that the disease arises from a malfunction of an interaction between the hippocampus and the prefrontal cortex. To fully develop a computational model of the disorder, Informed Simplifications will develop the next generation of NeuroJet, a hippocampal CA3 simulator. NeuroJet implements a biologically realistic CA3 region that can perform many hippocampally dependent tasks, such as transitive inference, transverse patterning, trace conditioning, and maze learning.
