The research at Informed Simplifications includes both substantive and technical projects. Our substantive work is creating quantitative models that will be useful for diagnosing and treating PTSD, mild depression, and addiction. The models use regional brain interactions through the appropriate transmitter systems. In this regard, the are four distinct research projects listed below. Our technical work includes enhancements of scientific computational methods, particularly by facilitating the relatively simple use of high-powered computational hardware (Beowulf clusters and GPUs).
